From the sedate and for the most part, peaceful 1950s with its hula hoops, yo-yos, Elvis and rock n' roll to the volatile and explosive 1960s with its declarations of "free love," "we shall overcome," "burn baby burn" and "give peace a chance," these truly were "the best of times and the worst of times." I was about to come of age and I was looking forward to every minute.
